In Mogadishu, a number of gangs and robbers arrested by the Somali Police force as committing robbery attacks.
Abdifitah Hassan Adan, a spokesperson for the Somali Police, told the media that more than 20 young men, including thieves and gangs, were detained during the operation’s first phase in Mogadishu.
The spokesperson claimed that these suspects were detained in the Hiliwa, Wardhigley, Wadajir, and Karaan districts, with some of them being detained for robbery-related offenses.
The speaker added that individuals suspected of killing Karaan district teacher Noor Mohamed Jimale after stealing his phone were detained.
The, theft and assault of mobile phone robbers is a worry for the residents of the Banadir region.
