Kenyan warplanes bombed several Somali villages in the Gedo region last night, residents say.
The fighter planes bombed the villages of Likooley, Buusaar, Garsaal, and El Adde, where most pastoralists reside, resulting in several casualties.
Witnesses told local media that the shelling killed livestock and caused undetermined civilian casualties.
The regional state authority of Jubbaland has yet to respond to the Kenyan jets’ airstrike.
