Ethiopian government ministers are going to pay an unofficial, secret visit to Mogadishu to expedite the implementation of an agreement signed earlier between the Ethiopian PM, Abey Ahmed and the Somali president, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
Sources inside the presidential palace confirmed that 8 Ethiopian government ministers would soon arrive in Mogadishu in an unofficial, secret visit to advance terms of an earlier agreement signed by the Ethiopian PM and the Somali president.
Earlier, the Ethiopian PM and the Somali president signed an agreement comprising of several terms –which allows Ethiopia to have full control of four major sea ports in Somalia and construct a main corridor linking Somalia with Ethiopia.
The Ethiopian government ministers will hold meetings with their Somali counterparts to discuss the implementation of the terms of the previous agreement.
Despite agitation and widespread public anger over the term of the deal which offered Ethiopia to seize control of four major Somali ports, the federal government of Somalia now seems to be tilting towards becoming an Ethiopian stooge as Ethiopia has been its key Ally in the war against Al-Shabaab and regional administrations.
