Al-Shabaab executes man for allegedly marrying woman and daughter

Al-Shabaab has executed old man accused of marrying a woman and her daughter in Lower Shabelle region.

A court run by Al-Shabaab has convicted Anshur Mohamed Abdi of his step daughter.

The daughter identified as Aday Manur Khalif was said to have given birth to child of Abshir.

According to al-Shabaab statement posted on its affiliate media, Hassan Khalif Adan, paternal uncle of Aday had lodged case against Abshir.

The case was accusing Abshir of marrying Aday and her mother who was identified as Hawa Abdi Billed.

Abshir reportedly dismissed the allegations saying he only married the daughter not the mother.

The group said after court proceedings the man was guilty and was sentenced to death.

According to residents, the man were tied to poles and shot by a firing squad shortly after a self-proclaimed judge sentenced them to death

Al-Shabaab fighters said to have carried out the execution on Thursday in a public square in Torotorow town in Lower Shabelle region.

Last May, The group stoned Shukri Abdullahi Warsame to death after she was accused of marrying 11 times, without divorcing previous husbands.

She was buried neck-deep and pelted to death with stones by Al-Shabab fighters in Sablale town in the Lower Shabelle region.

It is unclear and doubtful ways al-Shabaab carry out the court proceedings of the victims.
